Class Decorum: Courtesy towards your fellow students is expected. Some rules about distractions: Set cell phones into silent mode. Do not use laptops for any purpose other than taking notes. Do not bring food to class. No idle conversations during lecture. Please show up to class and be seated on time.
Individually these are forgivable behavoirs, but nonetheless they are unnecessary distractions for everyone else.
Missed class: Please notify me by the first week of class if you observe a religious holiday that will prevent you from coming to class or taking an exam. If you believe you have any other warranted absence you must notify me in advance. Also see the University policy on this matter.
Regardes: Regrade requests will not be accepted more than one week after the graded copy was returned to you, nor will they be accepted after the final exam. Note that once the final grades are submitted, they can only be changed in the presence of a serious grade error.
ADA Compliance: The Office of Student Disabilities Service (SDS) is part of the Weingarten Learning Resources Center. It provides accommodated exams and assistive technology (along with many other services) to students that self-identify in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Please see their website ( http://www.vpul.upenn.edu/lrc/sds/current_students.php ) for more information.
