Problem of the day for Monday, January 13Last Friday's problemJanuary 9 hints and answers
![]()
A certain king sent 30 men to plant trees. If they can set out 1000
trees
in 9 days, how many days would it take for 36 men to set out 4400 trees?
To solve this one, it will probably help to figure out how many trees one
man can plant in one day. Then go from there. Don't be afraid of the
fractions
that come up!
As always, be sure to explain the
work you did to arrive
at your answers!
